Ive been wondering this for a while the two bikes im thinking of are the specialized s works epic with the brain suspention and the giant anthem advanced pro 29 0 with the fox live.

I found the schematics on line cross referenced all the seals and proprietary parts and have stripped the shock and brain down for rebuild. Specialized offers the epic in aluminum carbon and of course their s works carbon layup. On the front specialized has spec d a 100mm travel brain equipped rockshox sid fork.
The expert modeled uses their slightly heavier fact 11m layup that is still lightweight. I was about to pull the trigger on a hard tail but then started considering a short travel full bounce and then discovered the brain 2 0 and in theory it seems perfect. Evolution however never takes a coffee break. I m 190 pounds on a large frame love the xc geometry enjoy climbing as much as descending though the epic with the evo mod 120 mm fork would be the perfect bike for the job in michigan.
